Freight Estimate Details
Slater Thomas Inch Bell Replicas, 12” True Logs, and Farmers Walk all ship via semi-truck. At checkout, you are required to choose one of three ‘Freight Estimate’ options, which act as a deposit* for shipping (unless you plan to pick up the item at Slater Strength).
The three ‘Freight Estimate’ options include:
Terminal Pickup: The item is delivered to a nearby freight terminal, usually within a 45 minute drive for most customers. You are responsible for picking up the item within the timeframe the carrier provides (usually 48 hours). Most items require a truck or trailer for transportation from the terminal to your home/gym. The carrier will load the item into your truck or trailer with a forklift. This is the cheapest option.
Commercial Delivery: The item is shipped directly to your commercial address, and will be offloaded with a lift-gate, unless you have access to a forklift or there is a loading dock on site. If choosing this option, please include the commercial address as your shipping address, and note in the comments on the checkout page if you have a forklift or loading dock.
Residential Delivery: The item is shipped directly to your home, and will be offloaded with a lift-gate. We also add appointment delivery, which allows you to make an appointment with the carrier to ensure that you can be there to inspect the item upon arrival.
*Because these items take several weeks to complete, and we do not know their final weights until they are completed, we cannot lock in shipping rates until the the item is ready for shipment. That said, the estimates at checkout should be very close to the final shipping amount - usually within 10%. We do not aim to make a profit on shipping, so if the final shipping rate comes in lower than you paid for the estimate, you may be refunded the difference. Any over, and we may request additional funds, but again, these estimates are very accurate and the difference between the estimate and final rate is rarely under/over 10%. The final shipping amount will be determined before the item ships.
If you wish to order multiple items, please contact us for potentially reduced shipping rates.

Production Info
All wood products are made to order and may take 4-6 weeks to produce, depending on availability. Additionally, True Logs are made from wood, which changes slightly based on its given environment. As a result, small cracks or "checks" may occur, but they do not affect the structural integrity of the log.
Please email or call if you have any questions prior to ordering.

FAQ
What is the estimated shipping and arrival time?
All Slater wood products are made to order, so lead time varies slightly based on demand. Currently, the lead time on Slater Logs is around 4-6 weeks.
Can you make the log weigh an exact weight?
No, but we can try to get close to a target weight if desired. Log weights vary drastically from log to log, based on a number of different factors. That said, if you are looking for a log in a particular weight range, we will try our best to find a log in our inventory that will suit your needs.
Will I need to maintain the Lifting Log?
The Lifting Logs come to you kiln-dried and sealed, so you shouldn’t see much change in the wood, nor will you need to do any immediate maintenance. Once every six months or so, we do recommend adding a coat of clear shellac (available in a spray can at most hardware stores) to the log to help keep it sealed. This can be applied to the metal as well to help prevent rust. Additionally, while all major cracks/checks have been filled with high-strength epoxy at our shop, additional small checks may develop through the seasons. These checks are natural, and almost always, these are not a structural but only an aesthetic concern. We recommend filling checks with clear ‘Big Stretch’, available at most hardware stores.
